INTUMESCENT COATINGS

At JD Group, we are experts at applying the necessary fireproofing paints to protect your building and meet building codes.

Intumescent coatings are paint technology which transforms from a regular paint finish to a thick foam-like substance under extreme heat from a fire. Expanding to many times its original thickness, the paint actually insulates the material it covers and prevents it from becoming so hot it softens and collapses.

Our painters and managers have obtained New Zealand protective coatings qualifications to ensure our intumescent work of the highest possible standard.

In fact, we are one of New Zealand’s largest applicators of intumescent coatings to steel, timber, and Gib board.

Our strict quality control and high standard of work is supported by our unbeatable inspection process – which often means no hold ups and failed council inspections.
